Let's Be Luddites

Sage advice, some more ideas:

  • Go and grab someone's hand, head out the door and take a leisurely walk around the neighborhood enjoying some fall foliage.
  • Gather a jar with a lid and bring a child out on a bug hunt lifting up rocks, logs and searching under leaf piles, it's something many kids love.
  • Put on your hat and clear the garden!
  • Hit the thrift stores for Halloween costumes!
  • Meet up with someone you've been missing for a cup of coffee or tea.
  • Go crawl back in bed with your honey.
Now that you've read this, quickly turn off the computer, slow down and really enjoy your Sunday. You'll be so glad you did!

These two things made me think:

Go and grab someone's hand, head out the door and take a leisurely walk around the neighborhood enjoying some fall foliage.

Gather a jar with a lid and bring a child out on a bug hunt lifting up rocks, logs and searching under leaf piles, it's something many kids love.

-- so simple and easy to do (and not to mention the priceless joy you will get) but i haven't even thought of doing them...

thank you megan, for giving us a brand new perspective...

we have something new to look forward to this sunday!

Right on!

I hope Freedom enjoys his bug hunt! There must be some awesome bugs in Cambodia that I have never even dreamed of, maybe I'll get to see some photos?

that is what a sunday (or nearly every day, in think) should be all about...enjoying the little things. :)

You know, it seems that my happiest days are the ones when the computer isn't turned on. Once. Thanks for the nudge!

I really do stay as far away from the computer as possible over the weekend. It's a nice break from both work and play -- and lets my head clear and be inspired by nature and weekend play.

Love this list!

We sure did enjoy our bug hunt! Unfortunately, I got bitten by a strange insect and it made my left foot swell! Ugh! I hope this thing goes away... the fun i had though is simply immeasurable!

Loven, are you kidding? You were a bug hunt casualty? I'm sorry to hear that! I sure am glad you had fun, and I hope that your foot returns to normal soon. Those Cambodian bugs must be fierce!

Such a great idea. I need to remind myself to do this more often. Love meeting old friends for coffee:)
